A summer cake sale hosted by staff last week raised £190 for Severn Hospice, Age UK and Cancer Vaccines and Immunotherapy (www.icvi.org.uk)
Lecturer Nicky Hunter who masterminded the sale and previous events said: “A HUGE thanks to Lorna White, Clare Hutchinson and Lucy Catley for all their hard work in the RFA kitchens all week. Lorna’s hens for the eggs and also the additional delicious jams and cordials on sale.
With the main plant sale, cake sale and some additional plant sales, charity donations this year have been:
Severn Hospice = £240 (£300 with gift aid)
Age UK = £240 (£300 with gift aid)
Cancer Vaccines and Immunotherapy = £110 (£137.50 with gift aid)
Making a total of £590 (£737.50).
